Bernardus Lodge, spa and restaurant in Carmel Valley receive honors from Forbes – Monterey Herald


CARMEL VALLEY – Bernardus Lodge & Spa in Carmel Valley received 12 more stars from Forbes Travel Guide for the third consecutive year, including four stars each for Bernardus Lodge, The Spa at Bernardus and Lucia Restaurant & Bar. It shares this high honor with just five hotel properties in California and 14 across the country.

For three consecutive years, the 73-room resort has been recognized by one of the most rigorous rating experts in the industry.

Bernardus Lodge & Spa opened its doors in 1999 and attributes part of its success to its continuous organic evolution. The resort, set on 28 acres of lavender and vineyards, gave its lodge a multi-million dollar makeover in 2015 and launched its Villas & Suites guest accommodations a year later, including 1,050 square feet and 2,100 square feet. ideal accommodation to reconnect with extended family.
