Summer is almost halfway over and somehow you haven’t taken the much-needed vacation yet. No worries, fall is approaching and it’s the perfect time to travel. You could find prices on everything to do with cheaper travel, and with the kids back to school you can be sure that it will be less crowded. Plan a romantic evening with your sweetheart now. Push the boundaries a bit, instead of staying in the United States, go big and go overseas. Chances are for almost two years there was very little travel, so you deserved it.

Here’s where in the world to go for that ultimate romantic getaway.

Say i love you in the city of love

Paris, France

The city of love is for lovers all year round, but fall is the shoulder season in Paris which means you can avoid the massive crowds common in summer and the season usually has hotel deals. . It’s a winning combination for sure. Along with legendary cafes and restaurants, a stop to make is the Wall of Love, a wall that was built to celebrate love and peace. Also visit the Museum of Romantic Life. At Père Lachaise Cemetery, which is one of the largest green spaces in the French capital, you might find fun instead of a dark vibe. Although seemingly macabre, a walk through this cemetery resonates with the many lovers who visit it. Walk hand in hand as you stroll on the Butte de Montmartre. Discover the quays of the Seine in riverboats and because you are kings, no visit to Paris is complete without a visit to the Palace of Versailles.

Go where everything is Irie

Couples Tower Isle, Ocho Rios, Jamaica

When Couples is part of the resort name, you know they’re dazzling, dynamic duos. Mission accomplished. Love is in the air at this all inclusive package. It doesn’t take much to figure out why couple after couple are full of smiles and laughs. It’s contagious. It was for me and my husband. If you dare, venture to the resort’s private island to Natural sunbath. If you’re too shy, think only of your eyes: get naked for a couples massage at the spa. Top it off with a dip in the sea, one of the four swimming pools or a little calm in one of the Jacuzzis. Enjoy golf, tennis, unlimited scuba diving and water sports like water skiing and windsurfing.

Test your love. Do the challenges of kayaking dissolve in an argument? Put on makeup and cuddle on a catamaran cruise. Dinner is something special at Couples Tower Isle. You can ask the concierge to coordinate a private dinner on the beach. Or there’s Bayside, where you dine by candlelight overlooking the Caribbean Sea. However, Eight Rivers is where you’ll probably have one of your best meals of the year, in an intimate candlelit setting, sitting next to each other, rather than in front of your honey. . The atmosphere is even sweeter with a soprano saxophone serenade by the musician who roams the room. Treat yourself. Opt for the new Oasis Spa villas which include unlimited spa treatments.

Pro tip: When you are ready to venture beyond the resort rafting the Martha Brae River, you will be in for a treat.

Ideal for couples in love with the water

Bali, Indonesia

Word is, one of the world’s most romantic sunsets is at Uluwatu Temple. It is located on the sea, so you know you can’t go wrong. Snorkel together on Menjangan Island, just 10 minutes by boat from the mainland and part of Menjangan National Marine Park, home to some of Indonesia’s best coral reefs. Make your way to the Mediterranean

Marbella, Spain

Romance reigns at the Marbella Club. This gem was founded by Prince Alfonso von Hohenlohe in the heart of Andalusia’s “Golden Mile”, in southern Spain. The Mediterranean setting of the beachfront boutique is ideal for a romantic getaway. You’ll love the aesthetics and authentic, whitewashed botanical gardens of the Andalusian village teeming with orange, lemon, avocado, fig and banana trees. Relax in wellness facilities surrounded by botanical gardens and a ‘clubhouse’ social center with open-air, interconnected bar and dining areas where you can naturally move from one space to another by depending on how you and your honey are feeling. The big question is, what are you in the mood for? The clubhouse features the all-new all-day El Patio restaurant, inspired by a dreamy 1950s California aesthetic. The Marbella Club is also home to an impressive collection of artisan-style villas just steps from the sea, with a dedicated host at the villa and additional luxury amenities for those who prefer secluded accommodation for the ultimate romantic getaway.

For the high-level couple

Monte-Carlo, Monaco

The smallest country in the world can boast on the Richter scale that it was the destination of choice for the wedding of Prince Rainier III of Monaco to Hollywood movie star Grace Kelly in 1956. You and yours surely can find some magic here too? See where they said I was, a cathedral in Monaco. What’s not to love about many hot tubs? There are also Michelin-starred restaurants with world-famous chefs, sidewalk cafes, a diverse arts and culture scene, top nightlife, and cool sporting events all year round. Boat or parasailing on the Mediterranean. Admire all this greenery at the Princess Grace Rose Garden. One of my favorites when I was in Monaco was the infamous Casino de Monte-Carlo. It’s as glamorous as it is in the movies. Expect to admire all the luxury cars and glitter. You can unwind with a show at the Ballets de Monte Carlo or go wild in the plethora of party venues.

Pro tip: Monaco is an ideal location for accessing both the French and Italian rivieras. Take the opportunity to explore. You can have breakfast in Monaco, have lunch in Italy, have dinner in France, and return to Monaco for an after-dinner drink.

Soak up the sun in Saint Lucia

Serenity At Coconut Bay, Eau Piquant, Saint Lucia

This adults-only all-inclusive resort is the kind of place that can resuscitate a dying relationship, inspire a marriage proposal, and form romantic bonds. It’s called Serenity for a reason – there are less than 40 pool suites at this intimate resort, so forget about the distracting crowds – couples here only have eyes for one another. You will be impressed by your suite, with its private “backyard patio” with plunge pool with waterfall, hammock, outdoor shower and wet bar with sink. Inside, the room is spacious and opulent. Vaulted ceilings frame a king-size mahogany four-poster bed, and the oversized tub and shower is so large it’s clearly an invitation for two.

This is one of the only my favorite couple’s hotels that I unfortunately visited without my husband as I was on a business trip when I was there. Believe me, this is for lovers. While you might not want to leave this paradisiacal location, part ways long enough to take a catamaran excursion with a view of these legendary Pitons, two mountain peaks rising from the sea in Soufriere Bay. Fall is also a good time to go with events like the Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival.

Grand Hotel Kronenhof – Pontresina, Switzerland

There are a lot of leaves eyeing Pontresina in the fall. During the fall, you and your sweetheart will see a breathtaking view of the Swiss stone pines and the Roseg Glacier from the Grand Hotel Kronenhof. Pamper yourself at the on-site spa and admire views of fall foliage from the rejuvenating indoor pool. When you’re up for the action, it’s a short drive to the Swiss National Park, which offers 80 kilometers of hiking and nature trails. For adventurous couples

Banff / Lake Louise, Alberta

Alberta is a mix of outdoor adventures and urban experiences. Banff and Lake Louise are ideal for couples as they have hot springs and spas, as well as horseback riding in the high country. What could be more romantic than staying in a rustic hinterland chalet? Rent a canoe and paddle a lake. Go hard and heli-hike the alpine in Banff National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. While you do your homework, your guide will organize a champagne picnic in the middle of the Canadian Rockies for the two of you lovebirds. Consider staying at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise with its surrounding mountain peaks, Victoria Glacier and lake. The hotel is located in Banff National Park.

Romantic destinations are subjective, but there are many places in the world that deserve the distinction:
